The firm's Senior Project Manager, directing all field operations of F&R and its affiliates — leading major subcontractor negotiations and overseeing all cost analysis, projections and timetables. Former member of the Board of the Government Development Bank of Puerto Rico.
BA, Building Construction — Kansas State University
The youngest of the three founding brothers, José Miguel directs all cost estimate "takeoffs" and pricing — having directed the company's responsibilities across over $2.5 billion in construction, and leading all procurement and purchasing for the firm and its affiliates.
BSc, Civil Engineering — University of Miami, FL
A second-generation partner and one of our most accomplished project managers since 1996. Completed more than a dozen major projects simultaneously, including the Arecibo Coliseum, the Pediatric Hospital at Centro Médico, Plaza del Prado and the Oceánica luxury condominium.
Master's, Tax Law (Miami) · Accounting & JD (UPR)
Joined in 2000 as Comptroller and promoted to Executive Vice-President in 2008. He oversees all financial matters — development loans and construction lines of credit — and serves as Asset Manager of F&R and its affiliates.
Construction Management, Summa cum Laude — Polytechnic University, PR
A second-generation partner since 1994, in charge of estimating projects totaling over $2 billion. Designed and implemented the firm's state-of-the-art computerized cost estimating, cost control and project monitoring system, and leads the company's telecommunications business.
BSc Civil Eng. (Rensselaer) · M.Eng (University of Florida)
In charge of compliance, scheduling and the Alternative Energy Division. One of only three certified PSPs in Puerto Rico and SWPPP Compliance Manager for the firm. Has led photovoltaic projects from residential installations to a 980 KW system.
BSc, Civil Engineering — UPR, Mayagüez Campus
Our most experienced Design/Build Project Manager, with F&R since 1973. Delivered the Sheraton Convention Center Hotel & Casino — the first LEED-certified hotel in Puerto Rico — and the $96M Caguas Judicial Center, completed in 2014.
BSc Civil Engineering — Polytechnic University
Fifteen years of field-supervision experience on projects of up to $135 million, including direct participation as Project Supervisor for the $24 million Bayshore Villas in San Juan — managing crews, scheduling and progress to timely completion.
BSc, Industrial Engineering — Kansas State University
With F&R since 1985. Has steered the on-time completion of challenging assignments including the State Insurance Fund Building, the Millennium Condominium, Paseo Caribe, and the new Supreme Court Library Building.
